Terms of service

Who we are and when these terms apply:

  • We are Rita Konig Ltd trading as Rita Konig Household Goods (RKHG), a limited company registered in England, (Registration number: 8159838 and VAT number: GB 117 8855 82).
  • The Rita Konig Household Goods website (Website) is an online store.  Please read these terms carefully. By placing an order via the Website, you agree to be legally bound by these Customer Terms of Sale. 

Orders:

  • We only accept orders from customers aged 18 and over. 
  • The prices shown on the UK Website are in Pounds Sterling and include UK VAT where applicable.
  • The prices on the USA website are in US Dollars and do not include sales tax, which is added automatically at the point of checkout. 
  • Placing an order: After you place an order on the Website, you will receive an order acknowledgement email. 
  • Taking payment: We will take payment for your order at the point you receive the order acceptance email. The 'merchant of record' that you will see on your account statement will be  ‘Rita Konig'.

Delivery Policy:

  • All orders will be shipped within 5-10 working days of the order acceptance email.  After weekends and public holidays, we will endeavour to ship the item on the next working day. 
  • Your order will be dispatched by RKHG using our preferred method of delivery.  During busy periods, delivery may be slower.
  • Orders will be sent via a tracked method of postage
  • It is your responsibility to ensure the delivery address provided is correct. Orders that are returned because of an invalid delivery address will incur charge a further standard delivery fee, charged to the bank card you used to pay for your order, if they are re-shipped.
  • Risk and title in the goods passes to you on delivery to the delivery address provided on your order. This includes where goods are delivered to a safe place or alternative delivery address on your instruction to the delivery carrier. 

Returns and Refunds Policy:

Return period:

  • We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return, via email and a further 7 days to send the item back to us, at your own expense.
  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition in which you received it; unused, with any original packaging (excluding outer delivery packaging) and in perfect condition.
  • We do not accept returns of bespoke or personalised items or gift cards
  • Until your return is delivered to RKHG, you remain responsible for the goods. 
  • The above does not apply to goods which are damaged on arrival, faulty or incorrect. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact RKHG immediately if the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

  • We will notify you of the return address within 5 working days of receiving your return request.
  • Refunds: Once your return has been received by the vendor, it will be inspected to see whether it complies with the terms of this Returns and Refunds Policy. 
  • We aim to notify you as to whether or not the return complies with the terms of this Returns and Refunds Policy within 5 working days of receipt of the return by the vendor. 
  • If the return is approved, you will receive an automatic refund to your original payment method. If more than 10 working days have passed since notification that your return has been approved and you have not received a refund to your original payment method, please contact via: shop@ritakonighouseholdgoods.com
  • If the return is NOT approved (including without limitation because a product which is returned on the basis it is faulty or damaged is not actually faulty or damaged), we will notify you, charge the bank card you used to pay for your order a further standard delivery fee and redeliver the parcel to the delivery address on your original order. 
  • Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges.

Cancellation:

  • You have the right to cancel your contract with RKHG, without giving a reason. Please contact shop@ritakonighouseholdgoods.com to request to cancel your order. 
  • We will cancel your order provided the order has not already been shipped.
  • We cannot cancel an order which has already been shipped. In this situation, you must wait to receive the order and then initiate a return.

Liability:

  • Nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit any liability to the extent that liability may not be excluded or limited by law.
  • Nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit your statutory rights. 
  • Our liability to you under these terms will not exceed the total price for your order.
  • We will not be liable, whether in contract, tort or otherwise: 
    • for any loss of business, profit, data, goodwill, reputation or anticipated savings or gains; 
    • for any special, indirect or consequential loss. 
  • As explained in our Privacy Policy, this website may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on these links may enable such connections so as to allow third parties to collect or share data about you in accordance with their own separate privacy policies. For the avoidance of doubt, RKHG is not responsible for, and does not have any liability to you in respect of,  any third party affiliate site you may choose to access. As such you are encouraged to read any new privacy policies that arise once you have left this website, RKHG.

Complaints:

Changes to these terms:

  • We reserve the right to make changes to these terms. We will publish the amended terms on the Website and will require you to click to accept the latest version of the terms before placing an order. The terms governing any order will be the terms in force on the order date.

Other important terms:

Governing law and jurisdiction

  • This agreement and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
  • Each of us irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with this agreement, its subject matter or formation.

Impact of events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure):

  • We will not be responsible to you for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these terms if the delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control. 

Transfer:

  • We may at any time assign, novate, transfer, mortgage, charge, subcontract, delegate, declare a trust over or deal in any other manner with any or all of our rights and obligations under these terms.

Entire Agreement:

  • These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us.

Severance:

  • If any provision or part-provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these terms.
